We can begin by asking ourselves what is right rather than what is expedient. - Toni Morrison
Mom-preneur. Coach. Therapist. Advocate. Healer.
Formerly a publicist, Shana Louallen (she/they) permanently shifted into the human services industry in 2008. As a clinical social worker and coach, she helps clients actualize the intersection of racial justice & restorative practices as a way of life in and outside of the workplace. She engages institutions and communities in designing (and implementing) trauma-informed models of care, accountability processes for healing, and equitable policies that uplift stakeholder voices.
Combining over 16 years of experience as a licensed Social Worker, former Chief of Equity, and previous co-Executive Director, Shana has deep expertise in the advancement of anti-racist, anti-oppressive work through a restorative and transformative justice lens. In that, her clinical practice utilizes both somatic and trauma-informed methods to explore issues and barriers to sustainable living and career advancement.
Focusing on the workplace has not shifted their abolitionist framework, however, which grounds their ability to help organizations:
Deconstruct power and punishment paradigms.
Build out diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives.
Design accountability processes such as restorative mediations in HR/Culture departments.
Strengthen community/relationship building across large and small teams.
Offer mental health support as an EAP Provider.
Expand shared power and shared decision-making between leaders and organizational stakeholders.
She offers both clinical therapy in New York and expert-level executive coaching nationally.
